Along with my love for Disney I want to share some of my other favorite things one is candles. My choice is Woodwick candles. Those of you who know me know why these words are special to me for many reasons. Many of those reasons have names and faces, too. As there are many friends that I have made during the years that Where the Magic Begins has been open here in Livermore. I am truly thankful for each and every one as we all have shared a common love of all things Disney.

One of my dreams was to open a very special Disney gifts and collectibles store. That is what Where the Magic Begins became. Many of you mentioned how the store reminded you of the Disney Stores in their early days and I was flattered by those comments.

Regrettably, I find that it is not possible to keep Where the Magic Begins open for much longer. You may know that I have had a tough battle with cancer during these years. It is no lie to say that I have found a great deal of love and support from all of you. Having this passion, it helped me through some very difficult times in my life. However, lately my health is not what it once was.  I find that I cannot give you and the store the attention that it deserves and I have reached the decision to close with a very heavy heart.

I will greatly miss the days when you would stop by - simply to share in our passion for the variety of Disney collectibles. For it was has always been, you, my "guests" who made this possible and so enjoyable. That's something I hope that you will treasure as much as I do.

Let me also thank everyone who gave me many opportunities to share my knowledge of Disney collectibles with you. To all of you who filled the store will great Disney product lines and made it possible. To all the special guests who brought smiles to so many when they appeared there we thank you. Thank you to those of you from Disney who visited and became friends. Through the Internet and more, I have been lucky enough to communicate with a great many people by e-mail, telephone and in person. And a lot of folks have helped make Where the Magic Begins what it became. From everyone who pitched in with events to the construction of the fine art gallery and more. Your help has meant a lot to me and I want to say "thanks" for all of it.

Don't look on this closure as a final one. Think of the store as "going on hiatus". You may see it return in some form in the future. And I will be working closely with Roger Colton to finish the "Dream Guide to Disney Big Figs" and see it through to publication as soon as possible. 

Finally I hope you will all know that Dreams do come true never stop believing!!!!!

We would like to invite everyone to share a final visit at Where the Magic the Magic Begins September 1^st special guest Jeff Pidgeon.  The store is now closed but the website will be up for another six months and I will try to keep you informed as to what is happening in the world of Disney take care all.
